We took a break from the beach the other day and decided to use the pool at the Marriott that we were staying at in Newport. We were out there all day under an umbrella due to the fact you can't put sun block on babies till they are 6 months of age. My sister could tell by the 5 th hour out there that my poor baby was getting BURNT. I thought it wasn't possible due to her not being in the sun for over 5 minutes in the pool. Needless to say, I have a daughter that had blisters under her eyes the next morning. I wasn't very happy with the Marriotts cheap umbrellas! I think I should call them and inform them you can still get the UV rays while sitting under umbrellas. Not good when you have RED hair! Now, I will be spending unnecessary money getting her photo facials when she is of age to cover up her FRECKLES! HA!

I didn't know you couldn't put sunscreen on babies. I always did and my kids are fine. We took Peyton to the beach her first year when she was 3 months old. I missed a spot under her eye and the same thing. They make these sunblock sticks now. They're for babies. You can get the sunblock right up under their eyes without getting in their eyes. They're great. That's all I use on their faces now. Try that. It's better than frying her. I do know that sun reflects off of the sand too. So no matter what you do, they still get some sun.
She's getting so big. I love chuncky babies.
Heather,
Thanks for the comment! I do know that they make sunblock sticks and I use them regularly on my other kids but Dr.'s advise you for whatever reason to NOT put it on babies under 6 months of age. I have NO idea why they advise this but I am assuming it's not great for their skin at this young of an age??? We now have a hat so I hope that helps! Thanks!
Andi had the worst one at 3 months at sea world. i thought i had her covered.... poor baby.
Why is she getting so big so fast! I do wanna squeeze her!
