NO BABY YET!!!

So... this is getting funny! I am FINALLY laughing at the situation and am hoping to post a baby picture next! Still have not seen my little princess! Went to my Dr. appt monday morning (shocked that I had still not gone into labor) and my Dr. rushed me to the hospital to break my water. He said I was at 4cm and ready to go. My Dr. Said he would meet us over at the hospital asap and break my water and said I didn't have time to go home and get my stuff. Needless to say.... he didn't show up until 8 p.m. I had gotten my iv's and even banked my blood in case of an emergency. He checked me at 8 and said he couldn't break my water because the babys head was too high. To make a LONG STORY short... I think somebody was watching over me and my baby. I could go into detail of everything that happened if my blog was private but it's not. So.. I got rid of my Dr. that I think is losing his mind and hired a new one today! Who wants to hire a NEW Dr at almost 41 weeks? Not me! I feel good though and think that it's for the better. I WILL NOT let somebody treat me and my delivery like we are a number. I do think doctors are great but I think you have to filter them and do your homework. It seems like I always get the shaft when it comes to having babies! I guess I have to laugh! We will have a baby in the next couple days and I am anxiously waiting!
Oh, and my baby ticker is going backwards!

NOT WORKING!!!!

So.... I'm still here! It didn't work. No picture of Elsie! I am getting REALLY frustrated! I took castor oil thursday night and I contracted all night. Fell asleep and unfortunately woke up the next morning NOT contracting. I had an appointment at the hospital for them to check my amniotic fluid level. It of course looked fine so they sent me home. I thought they for sure would help me out and start my labor back up. NOPE! Decided to try again on Friday night. Couldn't sleep all night. Contractions were every 3-4 minutes apart and were uncomfortable. I was trying to make it to 4 am before we called Jasons mom to come over and watch the girls. I called Carrie to ask her what to do and she advised me to not get in the bath because it possibly would take the contractions away. Me, going against her advice decided to get in because they were painful. Got out at 2:30 am. Laid on bed with pen and paper and clock. Fell asleep! Woke up at 4:30 am. Still contracting but not as hard. I thought, "maybe she was right, it kind of took them away." But i was still contracting hard enough to be uncomfortable and not able to sleep. Got in the shower to wash hair, blew it out so I didn't look like a total mess while I was pushing! Gathering all my stuff and placing it by the front door. All the sudden.... they slow WAY down by 6 am. Went on a walk to try to get them to come back. Rubbed belly with olive oil and did other things that was suppose to start labor. NOTHING!!!!! My dad had decided to stay in town in order to be there for me so I really wanted this baby to come because I felt so bad that he was waiting around. I want her out too! So, on Saturday I told him to go back. I get a call from my Dr. saturday evening and he advised me to stay down and not encourage this labor because he got called on a family emergency OUT OF TOWN! WHAT???? So..... he will be back tomorrow morning. I am thinking about castor oil AGAIN tonight. Third time could be a charm? Any thoughts or ideas for me??? I'm just trying to avoid that c-section that he would like me to have. Feeling really nervous about that! She just needs to come naturally! I want to see what she looks like!

Ready or not!!!!

I know I have been such a FLAKE when it comes to the blogging thing. I have been so occupied trying to get prepared for this baby. I just realized a couple weeks ago that she really is coming! With all the ups and downs I have been in such denial that this little miracle was really happening. I went to the Dr. yesterday and I am dilated to a 2 but 90% effaced! I am getting so anxious to see my little girl but feeling VERY NERVOUS at the same time. I would love to just know the outcome of this whole delivery. I have taken castrol oil with my other 2 girls which worked so I guess..... HERE IT GOES!!!!! I am attempting it again tomorrow night. My dr. wants her out due to low amniotic fluid and I am not wanting a c-section because of what happened with Avas delivery. It feels like I have prayed my soul out! I know that our Heavenly Father has been watching out for us. I am so grateful to bring this sweet spirit into the world and for my children and husband to finally meet her. So, the next post you will see is of my little girl, Elsie!

Farewell to our dear Prophet

Our prophet for the past 12 years has passed away this evening. He was such an insipiring prophet and always full of quick wit and humor. I have always loved to listen to his words of counsel and will keep them close to my heart! I am sure he is enjoying his reunion with his sweetheart wife, Marjorie. He has dedicated his life to our church and was such an amazing leader. We will forever miss you and cherish you always! We love you!

Princess on Ice!!!

I couldn't figure out what to get Emmie for her bday. She is so hard to buy for, unless you are her therapist or teacher! She has loved whenever we take her to the Disney on Ice show, so I decided as a family we would go for her bday! Jason had a really bad attitude about it because he dislikes lots of crowds with screaming children everywhere! I don't know how I managed but I got FRONT row tickets for the regular price. I bought them the night before and I was contemplating on what "my high price" would be for front row. I lucked out because not only were they front row but they were front and center! Of course it took us a while to get down there because we had to go through the back stage due to the wheelchair. Once we got there my husband says," I will do this every year as long as we have these tickets again." And I thought I was high maintenance! The girls of course loved it because they could practically touch the princesses! During the first half Ava tried not to smile the whole time. As soon as she warmed up it was on! She hasn't stopped talking about wanting her bday in January so we can go again. She whined the whole way to the car because she didn't want it to end! It was so fun to go with just our little family! I highly recommend it to anyone with little girls!!!!! Something is wrong with my new camera. It's a piece.Cinderella is always a hit!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM BUG!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM BUG!

Oh my sweet Emmie...... I want you to know how much I love you and how proud of you I am . You are such a sweet, amazing spirit and I am so honored that our Heavenly Father entrusted me to take care of you. 6 years ago my life was flipped upside down and so was yours. But I want you to know that these have been the best years of my life. At first I wasn't sure what I was doing but you have taught me more than I will EVER teach you. I feel that you understand and have accepted your physical challenges and trials that God gave you here on this earth. I am so grateful that you chose me as a mother and that I could be a part of this amazing experience. You changed our lives for the better and I don't know where I would be without you! Your sweet sister and your dad love you more than anything and we feel so privileged to have your sweet spirit in our home. You make our home such a special place and I am grateful that I get to spend everyday with you. Anytime I have a bad day I can lay with you and talk to you and you never judge me. You always smile at me and seem to understand. I love you more than anything! You make me so proud! I hope you have the best birthday ever. You deserve it!
Love, Mom

Christmas Pictures

We were scheduled to take Christmas Pictures the day my father in law passed away. It was such a crazy sad morning so I decided to have Kristyn come to my house and get some shots of my girls so I could atleast send out Christmas Cards! She sent me this lastnight and I thought they turned out so cute considering the timing and circumstances. Thanks Kristyn! Click on this link:The Check Family
